Creating Chart Plugins for Buildings

The first step to create a chart plugin for a building is to select the Building Charts sub-menu item under Chart Plugins in the main menu. Once the Buildings Real Estate Chart Plugins web page opens, then you can proceed to enter the name of the building, as per the instructions. For our example we will enter the building name, continuum, and then press the Search button. You will be presented with a list of the buildings that match your search. Go ahead and select the Continuum South Tower building. The next step is to select values of the chart parameters that you want to use to create the building chart plugin:

  • Web Site URL: This is the website where you are planning to place the chart plugin. For instance www.sofistyle.com. You are only allowed to place the chart plugins in one website. Although you can place the chart plugin at any level of the hierarchy of the selected web site, the chart plugin will only work on the specified website.
  • Use Square Meters: Most international buyers like to see all real estate measurements in square meters. This option allows you to have each chart in either square meters or square feet.
  • Chart Metric: There are currently two metrics that can be shown in the chart plugins, Avg Sales Price/SqFt (SqMt) and Avg Listing Price/SqFt (SqMt).
  • No. Beds: You can use this parameter to create charts for market segments based on number of bedrooms. This is very important as in some cities and buildings you can find a 3 to 1 ratio amongst the sales price per square feet between large condos that have 4 bedrooms and smaller condos that have only 1 bedroom.
  • Time Range (Years): This gives you the flexibility to show between 3 to 7 years of data in each chart.
  • Show Chart Values: This gives you the capability of either showing the values on the chart or not.
  • Chart Type:  The type of charts supported are Area, Column, Line, Spline and Spline Area.
  • Chart Color: There are 8 colors supported for each chart.
  • Chart Width (px): You can set the chart plugin width to any dimension between 600 pixels to 1,100 pixes.
  • Chart Height (px): You can set the chart plugin height to any dimension between 600 pixels to 1,100 pixes.

For this building chart plugin we will set the following parameters:

  • Web Site URL: www.realibrium.com
  • Use Square Meters: No
  • Chart Metric: Avg Sales Price/SqFt

  • Time Range (Years): 7
  • Show Chart Values: Yes
  • Chart Type: Area
  • Chart Color: Light Green
